job summary:
The Division of Biopharma and Ophthalmology Development comprise clinical development professionals who are Asset Leaders, Global Medical Leads, Development Physicians, Development Scientists, and Project Managers. The Division leads drug development through its lifecycle starting from concept through post-approval, covering the company's primary focus areas in Genetic Regulation and Blindness & Regeneration.
The Intern will integrate into one or more Medical Extended Teams and partner with the Asset Lead(s), Medical Lead(s), Development Physician(s), Development Scientist(s), and Development Project Manager(s) and co-create patient-facing educational or clinical trial materials in collaboration with Clinical Operations.

responsibilities:
- Onboarding with BOD team members
- Onboarding with Medical Extended Team for 1-2 assets
- Learn drug development basics
- Develop patient-facing materials for upcoming clinical trials or disease education in partnership with Clinical Operations and Patient Centricity
- Assist Medical Development teams with special projects
qualifications:
Required:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Must have an interest in pursuing a career in Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals
- Experience working or volunteering in the healthcare or scientific field.
- Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Professional communication skills and strong work ethics
- Self-initiated and proactive mindset
- Proficient in Word and PowerPoint
