The Pediatric Movement Center (PMC) is a therapist-owned, pediatric outpatient clinic with locations in Hagerstown and Frederick, Maryland. We provide speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, developmental classes, and community programs to children and young adults up to age 21.

Position Summary

PMC is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our pediatric outpatient team. This role focuses on clinic-based pediatric physical therapy, supporting children's gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence.

PTAs work under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric physical therapy treatments in an outpatient clinic setting
• Implement treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist
• Address gross motor skills, motor planning, balance, strength, and coordination
• Monitor patient progress and communicate outcomes with the therapy team
• Educate families on home exercise programs and developmental strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Ensure patient safety and deliver care using best practices

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Active Maryland PT or PTA license
• Pediatric therapy experience preferred (new grads encouraged)
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills

Schedule & Location

• Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN
• Monday–Friday, flexible 
• Hagerstown or Frederick, MD locations
