As a Patient Service Specialist youll play an important role in creating a smooth positive experience for patients while supporting daily clinic operations.

In this role youll not only manage scheduling and front-end processes but also help support your team by sharing knowledge leading daily huddles and identifying opportunities to improve workflows. Youll work closely with pre-certification teams and stay up to date on payer requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the clinic.

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling registration and insurance verification
• Support and mentor other Patient Service Specialists
• Assist with daily team huddles and workflow improvements
• Collaborate with pre-certification teams to ensure payer alignment
• Stay up to date on process changes and system updates
• Communicate updates and support a positive team environment
• Help maintain efficient patient-focused clinic operations

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office typing)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with scheduling insurance verification and referrals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

• 2 years in scheduling insurance verification or prior authorization

Additional Skills:

• Epic (RC/EMR) experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10 insurance processes or self-pay collections

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to bend reach kneel and move throughout the day
