**Up to $15k Sign-On Bonus**
United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Orthopedics to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Orthopedic unit is a steady, collaborative environment. Dealing with a range of orthopedic surgeries, there’s always something new coming in!

Compensation Range:

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Multiple shifts available

8 hour shifts; Monday – Friday, every 3rd Weekend.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Admit and prep patients for orthopedic procedures
• Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
• Administering medications and providing pain management
• Discharging patients post procedure

Qualifications:

• A valid RN license
• Bedside nursing experience
• ACLS preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients.

Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
