Job Description

Minutemen Staffing is looking for Forklift Operators for 1st shift and mid-shift for the Grove Port area. $18

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, locate, stack, and track materials within a warehouse or distribution facility. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down (counterbalance) forklift to transport materials and products
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
• Move pallets to and from storage areas, racks, and staging zones
• Stack and organize inventory accurately and efficiently
• Perform routine equipment inspections (battery, fuel, tires, safety checks)
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant) or willingness to obtain one
• Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Work Environment:

• Warehouse or distribution center setting
• May involve exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold environments)
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
