Our client is a leading national provider of insurance and risk management solutions serving complex, highly regulated industries. The Content & Email Marketing Specialist supports multiple business lines by developing written content and executing email and digital marketing initiatives that support customer journeys and demand-generation efforts. This role partners closely with business leaders, creative teams, and digital marketing professionals to deliver timely, on-brand communications across email, digital, print, and sales-enablement channels.
Position Overview Under management direction, the Content & Email Marketing Specialist develops, executes, and tracks marketing and communication initiatives across assigned business lines, with a
strong emphasis on content writing, email marketing, and lifecycle support .
This role acts as a liaison between business leaders, digital teams, and creative resources to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand and messaging standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented marketer who enjoys writing, understands how content supports the customer journey, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities Content Writing & Content Marketing (Primary Focus)
- Write, edit, and manage articles, educational blogs, thought leadership, and marketing content
- Translate complex, regulated subject matter into clear, engaging, audience-appropriate messaging
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts and business leaders to develop content aligned to different stages of the customer journey
- Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and brand messaging across all content formats
Email Marketing & Customer Journeys
- Draft, execute, and manage email marketing campaigns , including promotional, educational, and nurture journeys
- Support demand-generation initiatives by aligning email messaging to audience segments and funnel stages
- Partner with digital marketing teams to deploy email campaigns using Eloqua or similar marketing automation platforms
- Support basic journey mapping, messaging alignment, and performance tracking
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Support digital marketing initiatives, including social media content development and execution
- Create, manage, and schedule social media content using Sprout Social
- Ensure content and messaging align across email, social, and broader campaign initiatives
Content Creation & Graphic Design
- Develop copy and visual content for presentations, sales enablement materials, and marketing collateral
- Create and update brochures, one-sheets, advertisements, and PowerPoint presentations
- Support graphic design needs using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Assist with building visually compelling sales enablement decks and executive presentations
Communications & Brand Support
- Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure consistent application of brand standards and style guides
- Provide creative recommendations to influence content strategy and messaging
- Support internal communications and stakeholder messaging needs
- Maintain organized digital asset libraries and collateral inventories
Events & Conferences
- Coordinate marketing materials, logistics, and deliverables for business events and client conferences
- Provide project support for the Risk Management Conference (May 4) and other key events
Collaboration & Service
- Work closely with business leaders, client teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Resolve issues related to timelines, production, and vendor coordination
- Deliver high-quality, professional service in all interactions
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on content writing experience , including articles, blogs, or educational content
- Demonstrated email marketing experience , including writing and executing email campaigns or nurture journeys
- Working knowledge of customer journeys and demand-generation concepts
- Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint; solid Excel capability
- Experience using social media management tools (Sprout Social preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Preferred
- Experience in professional services, insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM, or digital asset management platforms (Eloqua preferred)
- Exposure to demand-generation or lifecycle marketing initiatives
- Experience coordinating vendors, budgets, or marketing expenses
- Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach
- Thrives in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
