Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our client to support daily financial operations and ensure accurate processing of accounting transactions. This role plays a key part in maintaining organized records, timely payments, and reliable account balances in a fast paced office environment. The position is fully onsite in Reading, PA and is a temporary opportunity. Candidates will collaborate closely with the accounting team to keep workflows running smoothly and efficiently.
Compensation:
$23 to $24 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities by processing invoices, payments, and expense documentation
• Record and apply cash receipts while assisting with routine account balancing and reporting
• Maintain accurate vendor information and respond to internal and external inquiries
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy
• Contribute to general accounting operations in a high volume, detail focused environment

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Assistant:

• One to three years of hands on experience in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable functions
• Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail when working with financial data
• Practical experience with invoice processing and account reconciliation activities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced setting
